Operating your home audio/video system, easily, from a single remote is just plain old
convenient. Controlling your heating/air conditioning , lights, surveillance cameras, door
locks and just about any other electronic device from your I-pad is just plain old cool!
In it’s simplest form, a control system will operate your audio system or home theater
pushing a button marked ‘Blu-Ray’. A series of commands, called a macro, sends out
instructions to turn on the tv, a/v receiver and blu-ray player, select the correct inputs on
the tv and receiver, and starts the movie. One button! Same with ‘Off ‘, one push and
everything shuts off.
The item you control everything with can be a purpose made remote, an I-phone, I-
pad, I-touch or even a remote built into your wall in a convenient location, so it can’t be
misplaced around the house.
In a full Home Automation system, just about any electronic device in the house can
be controlled. Wake up to an alarm that plays all over the house, or in one room, at
the selected time and music source. Set multiple alarms for different members of the
household. Turn lights on automatically outside at night. The system has a celestial clock
and knows when sunup and sundown are all 365 days for outdoor lighting. Have the
lights in your room come on with the music in the morning. Even control the lights from
an I-phone anywhere in the world! Set lighting scenes around the house. When you have
a dinner party, one button can turn on whatever lights you want on and even dim them to
the desired level.
Control the HVAC system from your I-phone if you’re coming back from someplace
earlier than planned and want to turn the heat up. Get notification by e-mail if your front
door is opened while you’re away. Call up cameras in the house on an I-pad and see
what’s going on back at the ranch. Or get e-mail notification your liquor cabinet was
opened when the kids are the only ones in the house. Again, check the cameras to see
what’s up.
You can even set up macros for the whole house. For instance, when the garage door
opens, turn on a light path from the garage to the kitchen and the Master Bedroom, and
turn the tv on to the local news, and send the audio from the news program all over the
house!
You get the idea…we can make a whole house automation system do just about anything
you can dream up.
